Considering the number of gambling adverts that are on telly - which I assume are allowed under current legislation- it seems a bit hypercritical to attack the FA when the government allows gambling to be so assessable.

Not an anti-Tory post just think government should take the lead rather than football.

Havent they been removed from telly now?

Talksport were criticising this earlier.

Which I thought was massively hypocritical given their enormous reliance on betting companies for advertising- and the invidious way they allow them to advertise by just talking about odds in a casual way, as if talking to a correspondence about the team lineups. They seek to make it just part of the normal commentary on the game, rather than an ad- which is deeply cynical. They shouldnt be normalising it- especially during the day when kids may be listening.
