So, that the Test Series won then... on 16:45 - Jan 27 by Herbivore | Their bowling might be their strength but it's still weak compared to when they had Steijn, Morkel and Philander in his prime. Past Rabada and Nortje, who is new to test cricket, there isn't a lot of quality. They really toiled at times with the ball. Agree that batting is an even bigger issue but I don't think I'd trade their bowling options for ours, it's still relatively weak for a top level test side. |
Anyone else think that Dwaine Pretorius looks like Tony Adams? The Saffers are a poor side now, despite a decent opening attack & plenty of the younger English batsmen made the most of their chances. Hard to see Denly keeping his place for much longer - he looks technically better than Sibley but he leaves too big a gap between bat & pad & keeps getting out when set. Buttler needs to bat better if he wants to keep a Test place because he's a very ordinary wicket keeper, but Bairstow isn't much better. Foakes looked the man & can bat properly, but yes, he's had a disappointing season. | |
