The homeless thread has got me thinking. 19:50 - Jan 31 with 3681 viewsPecker

Could we set up a TWTD charity. We pick a cause for every year and we do fund raising things throughout the year for the designated charity. We could collect on matchdays as well. Could it work?

Your confusion stems from the fact that someone can have more than one friend. Keep trying, J2, there's someone out there for you.

P.S. Moose sends his regards.

For my tuppenth worth it might be better to look at a smaller project rather that simply handing over money to be dropped into a large ongoing fund however worthy.

There must be local parks, schools etc that are in need of sports/playground equipment etc. Having it sports football based would give better reason to our purpose

Goals for Schools, perhaps

Any project would need to be at a financial managable level. And instead of handing over a variable sum at the end of the year the aim would be a Blue Peter style fund raising for a apecific target. Something(s) that would have a tangible presence and a tangible benefit,

Five a side goals in various parks for kids under the banner About Town, maybe.

This is probably moving it on a bit but I don't think it has to be that complicated and I'm sure many would warm to something that was a bit more permanent, visible and connected to the town and the town (ITFC)
