....When you realise what a remarkable job Mick did with very little financial backing.
I know it’s been done to death and I’m no Mick sympathiser but compared to the investment that others seem to have had under Evans he worked magic to make us competitive in the championship for so long. He probably spent less and almost certainly brought in more money through player sales than anyone else in Evans’ reign.
Similar to Joe Royle who did a sterling job to make us competitive at the top of the Championship with no budget.
A decent manager who can get the best out of the players at his disposal Is what we are crying out for but Evans has a poor track record of finding them.. |  | | |  |

Remarkable job given the lack of funds. Despite bringing in significant funds from player sales. I’d like to see his net spend vs our other managers under Evans. His budget became increasingly less competitive vs other Championship rivals. | | | |
