Not quite so much, as our wage bill will now be similar to theirs. What it does potentially show is that Evans really did give Lambert what support he could in the January window to try and keep us in the Championship.

Now we know there are inherent problems with trying to make short term signings in January, but regardless, we didn't even get a dead cat bounce out of it.

You need to consider the inflated wages we gave out to the players signed in January who were supposed to keep us up - the figure given for us is the calendar year 2019, not the 18-19 season. I actually think our wage bill this season could well be 50% of the 2019 calendar year figure.

Surely those figures are for the 18/19 season as I don’t believe any results have been released post June 19 in order to be able to quote 2019 calendar year figures.
