The players actually had some fight in them. Couldn't fault the effort and there were some decent passages of play. Lambert also made the right subs IMO. Only thing he got wrong was the bizarre choice of Norris again.

Yes, though I don’t think not having them available would have made a huge amount of difference given our problems even when they’ve been in the side.
I disagree we were ‘much much better’. We raised the performance from Tuesday which was the worst many people had seen full stop. However, despite the increased intensity, it was back to the same passive passing, few risks taken, long hopeful balls forward, no real sense of plan, players out of position etc. |  |
