So, anyone here caught it yet? 21:13 - Mar 15 with 6809 viewsSwailsey

Obviously no commitment to answer. Sending good wishes if so.

Very strange hearing my dad talk about shutting himself away for 2 months. Sh*t is starting to feel like it’s getting real.

Sounds the same as what I had, especially from late January. Normal cold etc and then the sore sinuses, dry throat and an odd thing growing inside my septum which I am waiting for an ENT appointment for. Been very breathless and a tight throat but is that anxiety as it does wear off but I get this a few times each day. I have a small cough but its not continual.

Hard for me to distinguish if I have this or not as I have the symptoms every day but have done since last March and not one doctor knows what it is. Could be hormonal, could be thyroid, just no idea. The advice to self isolate if you feel unwell for 7 days is no use to me, as I feel unwell every day, and now with my anxiety and depression at being stuck indoors 95% of the time, and the worry over my parents, I am near the end of my tether.

I had similar symptoms in late December baring your unusual growth

My mum said, we have already had Corona which seemed a bit dramatic and highly unlikely, bless her

It was just a winter bug going around which my entire household had over the Christmas period, severely reducing our food intake (particularly disappointing around Christmas time).

I've had flu, I've had norovirus coupled at the back end with tonsilitus and given at some stage we are all likely to get it, I'm looking forward to what 'mild' symptoms entail.

I was off work for three weeks with norovirus and then tonsilitus with which I got an all body rash to add insult to injury. I can't see it being worse than that.

The flu which many people who haven't had the flu, believe they have had when they simply have a cold is also particularly unenjoyable. It always annoys me that people who have a cold immediately diagnose it as flu but still feel well enough to still come to work, believe me, if you have the flu, you know about it!

We will see, if you're fit and healthy, you have little to fear I suspect and getting it early is probably a blessing

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Pretty sure wife has, she had pretty bad ‘flu’ but only for a couple of days - I had to literally carry her into bathroom in the night and not something she’s ever experienced - temperature well over 40

I’d been ill the week before with bad cough and just so tired, just slept and slept but doubt that was it - who knows though

Temperature of 40, blimey Joe.

You called for advice? What's been said, suggested?

Because she hadn’t been in contact with somebody known to be carrying it then they wouldn’t test her and just to told to sit it out and it went within a couple of days.

In hindsight should have pushed for a test, but 111 seemed pretty feeble and unhelpful but obviously under huge stress. Not until reading more from those with confirmed cases did we self diagnose as that but sure not the only ones in that boat

I understand.

I'm due in hospital this week and again next for an op, but they called me today and we decided to cancel everything for now.

I've had a hacking cough for a while now which hasn't improved. Chest tight and breathing not brilliant.

Lady on the phone was pushing me to call 111 but tbh, as I said to her, I usually pick up something this time of year most years so it's really probably nothing much out of the ordinary. No temperature and nothing over the top other to speak of.

Hope she gets better very soon.
