Plastered with logos all looks legit, but as I keep on top of my account immediately knew it to be false.

So obvs didn't follow link to update bank details. Eyes peeled folks, cyber crime is covid19 free....

It is at times difficult to tell the difference between BT and crooks.

A good tell for things like this is if they use your name or 'dear customer' etc.

That's not to say all communications which use your name are legit.

Also they will often be from 'BT' but if you check the email address it will clearly be fake.

Truly impaired.

I would hate to be Libby Barr, former MD of Customer Care at BT. I have had so many phishing emails purporting to be from her - I bet whenever she tries to email a friend, it goes straight into spam.

I'm more concerned about people visiting old people and saying they're from the Doctors or this new CV volunteer force and getting into their house, we're already hearing stories about this happening here
