Only saw the 10pm TV news clip, but that looked as tho the SheffU player pushed the keeper (who was holding the ball at the time) back across the line & into the goal, so a foul, not a goal?


Nah- it was the keeper's own team mate who bundled him in. And the goal was not given as a result of the line decision rather than a foul.

The problem with this is until now our goal line tech has been flawless, so everyone trusts it 100%.

The var officials didn't look to see if it was 100% over the line as they know the goal line tech will tell the ref, and likewise the ref might have thought it mostly looked in, but he trusted his goal line tech watch - you can see him telling the players his watch hasn't gone.

Hawkeye have said they didn't have the angles on this, so really the ref's need to know Goal, No Goal or No Idea!
