Why can these teams now use 5 subs? 19:28 - Jun 17 with 805 viewsBluebell

Surely they have to play these games as they would have had if it had all been played at the correct time?

Weird!

Lack of fitness and time since they last played. Also they have to play more games in a shorter space of time. I agree though, they should be alright.

I think it’s fair enough. Due to fitness etc.

Can still only use them on three separate occasions though.

So Arsenal have 3 more subs available but can only make a sub or subs on one more occasion.

I think the 5 subs rule was specifically requested by Lambert , so he could increase his rotation policy to include during games as well as between them.

Ooh. I wasn't aware of that caveat. I guess it makes sense, especially if there is a team one up late on and decide to make five changes after the other in injury time.
