I remember when this was all Project Fear on 10:11 - Jul 13 by Swansea_Blue | I've seen this a few times now, with some of the ERG using the same language. This is going to be the next Brexiteer attempt to hold everyone hostage by trying to force this Government to rip up the agreement it negotiated and signed (to a fanfare of tribal chest thumping). They seem to think this is the key to getting a better arrangement with the EU! Absolute morons. |
I don't think the ERG have much power now, because if it comes to a parliamentary vote (don't even know if it has to?) between laying waste to the country and some kind of damage limitation agreement with the EU, then the other parties will surely vote for the less idiotic option. The only thing the ERG might have left is to put Johnson to a vote of confidence, but I don't think they'd try that.

Now as a “remoaner”, it’s time to grab a drink and watch the fun start. It’s funny how most predicted this but got shot down, as some said you reap what you sow |
As a remoaner I am at this very moment enjoying a Jack Daniels and planning on giving my EU passport an extra blanket tonight. The sh1t is currently orbiting the fan and I am counting down to "I told you so". England we have a problem.

I'm not so sure. They've always got that threat of running over to Farage and taking voters away. Although I don't think they'd need to, as Boris' government's whole strategy has been to pander to the euro-skeptic side.

I remember when this was all Project Fear on 18:01 - Jul 13 with 269 views | cbower | The lies were obvious to many who saw these Charlatans for what they are. Others knew they were lies but simply didn't care. The ideological pull of the Queen's Head, 'controlling our borders' and the oh so bogus 'taking back of sovereignty' was far too strong. More worryingly was those who voted Leave but were massively duped through manipulation and misinformation. Most concerning of all, however, is the amount of people who more than 3 years later continued to flock to these same Charlatans, ensuring any half sensible approach will once again be rejected to achieve the ideological aims of a rather tiny minority. Very, very sad times, especially for people much younger than myself I'm afraid. The first person I hear saying they voted leave but didn't expect to have to pay all this holiday insurance stuff, or the person with no insurance and a whopping hospital bill for treatment in Spain will politely be told where to go.
