Good Evening,
I'm sure many of you are more than satisfied with the amount of content provided by a multitude of Ipswich Town based podcast providers. Well, whether it's needed or not, there is a new podcast that's recently launched. Some of you may already be aware and I'd like to thank those who have supported me so far. My name's Mark, I was part of the now defunct Ipswich Fanzone Youtube channel, I know how popular it was with many people and not so popular with many others 😂. (I'm the "lanky, skinny, glasses, teeth" guy btw).
The new podcast is named ITFC UNRESTRICTED, which is available every Sunday at 6pm on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and more and will cover all the major talking points from the past week from the ITFC World. I'm not going to claim to know anymore than any of you guys listening, or anymore than the other podcasters. I am to bring a balanced, factual and entertaining podcast and will use it as a way of airing my views in a more considered manner than the limits of social media.

In all seriousness, what’s so “unrestricted” about the podcast? Interesting choice of language. |
Perhaps the most misleading title I could have chosen. Certainly no exclusive access to the club or anything put it that way. It's more of a way in which I can be creatively free to either crash and burn or provide entertainment through my views on the club without being filtered or damaging to another's reputation. The length of the shows aren't set so if it's a quiet week I'm not going to force a narrative that's simply not there or if it's a busier, more interesting week then you may see a longer podcast. As I've said not claiming to know any more or less than the listeners or the podcasters, just a form of creative freedom for me and if people want to join me along for the ride then that's a bonus. I know it certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea. | | | |

More than happy to, it's unfair for me to speak on Ash's behalf, however from my perspective the commitment and work behind the scenes to provide our content took a considerable toll on various aspects of our lives. Obviously providing a podcast and Matchday vlog requires commitment that we all understood but it's the hours of preparation behind the scenes which has ramifications on work, social and family life. We are all young, mid to late 20s lads who still have plenty of life to live and experience. The new venture we have undertaken allows us a little more freedom to live our lives whilst still pursuing a hobby we enjoy. It may have come as an abrupt decision at the time but it's something we'd been considering for a while. | | | |

It's something I've made light of when I launched the podcast a few weeks ago. There's plenty of knowledgable Town fans willing to share their views, many more knowledgeable than myself, but like we all do I enjoy talking about our football club and social media doesn't quite fill that void for me. Its a passion project more than anything else if I have 20, 200 or 2k listeners it makes no bones to me. Of course, the more people who enjoy listening the better but I like to think there's enough variety and degrees of content for everyone. | | | |
