Would it really need years of training and education? Of course there has got to be a change in mindset as much as anything.
I really do not get how in the current climate you can still have an incident like the latest one. Surely every white police officer has to be more cautious knowing the current climate? How do you ever get to the point of shooting anyone 7 times in the back for reaching into their car while you are standing close enough to physically restrain them, black, white or whatever? |
People panic under pressure. This has been shown by some of the many atrocities committed during wars. This problem won't be made substantially better by sending police officers a code of conduct. Another big issue is the prevalence of guns in america, so the cops automatically assume a suspect is likely to be carrying a gun & prepared to use it. |  |

Did the Kenosha shooter find himself being shot by police, while walking the streets with a semi automatic rifle, and murdering two people? Not only does the killer walk up to the police holding a rifle, he then goes home and doesn't even get arrested until the following day.
