That's not true, he didn't sack his staff when he could have furloughed them. He encouraged his staff to seek other employment due to the delay in getting the furlough money from the government. You could argue that Weatherspoons should have have done the decent thing at the start and kept paying them until the furlough money came through. They only did this in the end after receiving criticism. The guy is a knob but that doesn't justify spreading lies about him. [Post edited 17 Oct 2020 14:47]
