After resetting my Macbook Air, I can no longer use Facebook. A message states that I am using an unsupported browser. Of course I can start using Chrome but I like Safari. Anyone have a solution please?

Sounds like resetting it might have rolled back to an older version of safari. Checking 'system preferences'-> 'software update' to see if there's any updates to install is probably worth a shot

I did try that but no updates available.

"my Safari reverted to some earlier edition. I found that the solution was to go into the Develop menu of the browser and re-select v.9.1.3 (normally, you just see 'Default' selected)."

Might be a security issue (ie your browser is trying to establish a secure connection with some out-of-date information) - clear your cache/website data, quit out of Safari and restart. Hopefully that will give you a new set of preferences.

Failing that - delete your Safari preferences. It's a bit of a hassle so you'll have to Google how to do it.
