I'm sad to report that we are worse in the flesh than we look on ifollow.
We played for about an hour as Lambert had instructed, p!ss weak in midfield, no movement, rarely did anyone get within 30 yards of Jackson when the ball came forwards. Dobra and Lankaster on several occasions actually held their run and stayed behind play when there was open grass infront, like they had been instructed to play that way?
Then for the last half an hour the game plan went out the window, everyone did whatever they wanted, we were a disjointed collection of individuals trying to make something happen. We looked terrible, but it was still better than when we playing to Lambert's system.
Just absolutely terrible. It wouldn't matter if we had zero injuries, playing the way we did today we would get nothi g from the game. There are no excuses for that. Lambert has had two years and as a team, we're a shambles. |  |
