Lots of highlights to remember in the last decade.
The Smith equaliser in the play-offs (which ultimately led to nothing). Priskin's goal against Arsenal (which ultimately led to nothing). Hmmm....
The Budget under Evans has never been high enough to attract quality players. And when we do buy or develop a quality player they were sold too quickly. There is not enough emphasis on developing a squad that can challenge for promotion.

That was certainly true in the championship, not sure it is in League One.

That's not really true. In his first few years here we were amongst the big spenders in the Championship. Unfortunately, Roy Keane and to a lesser extent Paul Jewell and Jim Magilton decided to spaff all that money on dross. It's true that in our later years we didn't have much of a budget but we still managed to get decent players like Waghorn because we had a good manager.
It's also not really true now we're in League 1. At this level we have one of the biggest budgets. We outbid all our rivals and some Championship sides to sign Norwood. Only a handful of clubs at this level could afford someone like Stephen Ward. Again, the problem is incompetent management.
We need to stop obsessing over money. We're already bankrolled to be able to sustain significant losses every year. Evans has far bigger faults than the amount of money he puts in.
