Yep. To say that you can train all week, play games with loads of contact, and that it is all safe, but you can't celebrate a goal, is an absolute nonsense.

A caution for removing a shirt is much easier to punish (and is in the laws of the game) than determining which celebrations are likely to spreading Covid. How many players are to be cautioned as part of that, the goalscorer only, half of the team for approaching the goalscorer?

Regardless of that, as the authorities disapprove and want to stamp it out, why not allow the refs to book players that do it.

At the moment there is this half-arsed regime where they say players shouldn't do it, but there is no sanction for doing it.

They either need to say it's not a problem and to carry on, or do something about it.
