They want the best five in the division this season ranked from first to fifth excluding players from Town. This can include a player who was transferred out of the division in January. Separately, they want us to name our own club's best player.

Except that wasn't at all what I said. Of course, Downes is a better player. If you want who is the technically gifted player at the club then the answer is Troy Parrott. However, Troy Parrott has not been our best player this season.
In the 10 matches that Downes has played for us this season, he has not looked anything like the player he can be. He has injured himself in a rash challenge and been lucky not to see red on at least one occasion.
If you honestly think Downes has been our best player this season you are the one with exceptionally poor judgment. |  |

Less effective than Edwards? Give me strength, name one game where Edwards has had a solid performance. He hardly touches the ball and when he does his retention is awful. His involvement has been some poacher goals. People are really over doing this top scorer business. | |
