Meanwhile on a different football planet 21:25 - Feb 10 with 699 viewsPendejo

Massive Citeh have beaten a football record that has effectively stood for almost 130 years.

"This triumph means Manchester City have set a new record for successive domestic wins by an English top-flight club, surpassing the previous best of 14 achieved by the Preston team of 1891-92 and the 1987-88 Arsenal side."

ok so George Graham's Arsenal equalled it, but Citeh have beaten it... I lived in Manchester when they had their season in the 3rd tier, had to get promoted thru the play offs, the final of which they were 2-0 down in into the last 10 minutes.

Still when you throw a few hundred millions of squids at a football project you expect big rewards, is obtaining such an old record big enough? For them? Nah, for pretty much any other club, yep.

CL or bust

You know that quote about the football being better..?
Citeh fans of a certain age get to compare Michael Brown with Phil Foden, Shaun Goater with Sergio Aguero, Nicky Summerbee with Kevin de Bruyne

Generally found Citeh fans to be more obnoxious than Manure, so hate the club, that hate is also tinged with a massive dollop of jealousy. Pep needs a proper project, one that really challenged him...

I don't mind City. My son supports them.

I know a lot of City fans that are very grounded, they are just as fond of the old team and Maine Road as they are the new team and the Etihad.

They don't really care for the Champions League.

I doubt many city fans are celebrating this new record.

I know but I couldn't remember the name of the German striker, should've used Gareth Taylor.

The owners will expect Pep to deliver a CL win before he leaves them.

Easy for the citeh fans of today to be grounded, the angst they'd built up over the years of watching Fergie steer Manure to their 20th league title, 2nd and 3rd CL win will have been well and truly exorcised.

I lived there 1996 to 2000, so my experience is, arguable, not relevant as it's definitely not recent.

I lived there for 10 years from 2006, and most of my city mates have lived through the bad times and good.

There are 6-7 teams in the CL with similar budgets to pep, so it's not a given.

He and the board will want to win it, but as long as they are successful domestically, I don't think they will sack him anytime soon.
