It took until the death throes of his time here before the team served up a result when it really needed it. I'm sure that those who really threw themselves behind him during 2018/19 for "getting it" will regard that period as something of a fever dream retrospectively. All in all, a bizarre period in our history. He foundered on the rocks of Evans's incompetence, but never really seemed to get a handle on anything in terms of getting anything constructive done on the pitch here.
