Did Judge's bad news affect the performance at all?
Really need to improve our tactics and get a grip on the midfield battle but we did, at least create a few chances. Norwood looked onside to me - would love to see that again but the defender in the middle must have been close to playing him on. Parrott had the overhead kick and Jackson hit the bar too. Their goal scorer made a fantastic last ditch block/tackle on Norwood.
I would love to see a comparison of stats of touches inside their box from previous matches and this one.
Gillingham are a funny old side with a mixed bag of results. They ground it out with a ref that allowed the physical side to go more than we would have liked. I think we need Downes and/or Skuse playing and on form. I would also like to see Jackson (or even Sears) alongside Norwood in a genuine 2 up front.
For me kenlock lately has flourished due to a good partnership with Judge. Also judge worked well with parrott and Norwood and especially dozzell.
Harrop was shocking and offered nothing to anyone in his team. So just curious how much we would have worked on shape with harrop and not judge.

I agree, although Harrop did put the free kick in for the goal.
If there is a good togetherness among the players and the news was the family bereavement that we suspect it might have been, I would imagine it had an effect on all the players too.
