There’s no way this is right. Even if Skuse (for example) wasn’t getting a new contract, Cook wouldn’t just cast him out because of it, after everything he’s done for the club. Essentially getting rid of the likes of Skuse and Ward early would suggest he has given up on the playoffs and is looking to next year, as right now they are definitely good options from the bench, particularly Skuse if we need to defend a lead. And the playoffs are still a possibility.
And I still think we should definitely not get rid of Aaron Drinan. He’s not a great striker yet, but he has a lot of potential, still, and he fits perfectly into a 4231 formation. |  |
