Surely now is the time for these huge football clubs to boycott these platforms until action is taken?

Nothing will change whilst you're allowed to make anonymous trolling accounts. Claude from Arsenal Fan TV was being goaded by a fan the other week and tragically lost his life. The fan just deleted the account when his tweet blew up and that's it.

Surely it’s fairly simple for the platform to create some sort of verification of your identity when making an account. Like when you make a betting account you have to upload some sort of photo ID to confirm you’re age.

Posting anonymously online can be useful, many journalists and activists in dangerous fields do not use their real name for fear of doxxing or backlash.

The reality is big tech needs to up their human moderation. AI is not the be all and save all they push it as. Big Tech has made a fortune off our interactions and put very little back into making their environments safe.
