Very true but Hurst brought in six players basically to replace good or better than good, Championship players.
The chances of all six being a success was very unlikely, which is fair enough, but you would have thought that one or two of them might have been.
Drip feeding lower league players into a squad is fine but trying to create the bulk of a Championship side by throwing together a bunch of 'lower league all stars' was never going to be a good idea. |  | | |

Indeed, and the squad will be much smaller. It was something like 53 players until the release of some of the younger ones. Probably will be nearer 35 including fringe youngsters. |
The first team squad could be limited to 20 players if the EFL get their way, the PFA are threatening legal action if the EFL do not increase this to 25.
