Perhaps all the swing from euphoria to despair can settle a bit? If Cook walks, so be it. He's not the right man for the job is he? Getting rid of Evans was the main thing and it's done. Making ITFC something less like a 90's club and back into the 21st century is something we've been desperate for since he spaffed it all up the wall with Keane and Jewell. Cook can hardly come out full of his wit and energy when we've produced nothing under him so far. He must be fuming with the players. If he's worth his salt he'll be hunkered down and planning what this new club can do now and how he can best direct it. There has always been way bigger problems than the manager under Evans, they haven't magically gone away. But the point remains, this takeover was 14 months in the making and lots of doubts and derailments. It's here now, next season is when it can really be felt and live in a little. | |
