There's always one in every thread that posts exaggerated tripe like this. Chambers some say is a great leader, does great things behind the scenes, looks after young players, is kind to animals, helps old ladies cross the road, etc. A good captain is part of the leadership team, influences players on the pitch, stands up in the dressing room and inspires those he leads onto the pitch. Yes he can only try to lead the team that others pick but it's been 7 years, it's time for a change of voice. |
