I don't see how we can compete with Championship clubs money wise and aspirational wise anyway, without falling foul of FFP etc. We are at best blowing other league 1 clubs out of the water, going for the best league 1 players, and those that Championship clubs release who are not wanted by other Championship clubs.
Wait and see what happens I suspect. Maybe Ashton will get £500k for Jackson, £50k for Drinan etc etc But I think there will be equivalent free transfers / out of contracts elsewhere

Thing is if you have players, why not try to use them where possible
As some have mentioned, just because we have extended contracts, it could mean clubs have spoken about them, we may look to offer them as part payment for our targets etc etc |  |
