The concept is to replace short-haul flights with blimps which are slower but would have only 10% the carbon footprint of current short-haul flights.

The first versions would be hybrid-electric moving onto full electric after that which would decrease the emissions even more.

These would seem ideal for point-to-point travel where trains aren't able to reach or where direct tracks aren't available.

For instance, Liverpool to Belfast would take 5.5 hours at a cruising speed of ~60mph.

I looked into taking a car plus 4 passengers across on the ferry from Liverpool and I think it would have been cheaper to charter a private jet
