I'm told the BBC have unearthed a real gem, which is going to be aired today at 10.30am on, for some reason, The Parliament Channel.
It is a previously unseen episode of Hhhhh-Hancock's Half Hour, where the eponymous anti-hero has to stand in front of the beak and reply to accusations made by Sid Cummings about his capability, honesty and integrity.
I am told that he may fall back on the defence of a lack of intelligence and capacity to comprehend the mechanics of that with which he has been dealing. Ironically, this could result in his first teetering steps into the adult world of honest self-assessment and accountability.
I for one am hoping that this is the last we see of him, as I think the time for this sort of comedy is long past. Am also hoping that there may be a similar Boris Manning episode unearthed in the near future, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. |  |
