Its the same story that Phil and the Eadt boys have been sharing for a few months now. That being that we are going to see a total clear out this summer.
Its odd that every time a new version of the story surfaces people seem so surprised, or try and doubt it is actually the case.
My concern, at the moment, is that we've not done a great deal in terms of signing the replacement players we need. Hopefully that will pick up pace very soon, otherwise we'll go into the season half cooked.
Not saying I think the extent of the clear out is a good thing btw, but it has been clear it was going to happen for ages now. |  |

Looks to be throwing down the gauntlet.
Pleased to see Woolf in the first team picture.
As for the rest, they probably still need to earn their place. I suspect Downes mustve made it clear that he wants to leave. |  |

But it's not the same story. There are a number of players whom we could have let go but chose not to, and they are now training with the U23s. We have only 11 players training with the first team (and some of those are not expected to be in the team with any regularity), and we're a week away from July. All of that is news.

Well, if they extended Jackson's contract to ensure that we get a decent fee for him, it doesn't send much of a 'he's a valuable asset' message if they then indicate that he is not worthy of consideration for a mid-table League 1 squad |
I'm not even sure they want much of a fee, more a case of sticking a 20% sell on clause in the contract to avoid any potential embarrassment. | |
