The Met Police respond to criticism of Sunday night's policing at Wembley... on 18:36 - Jul 14 by bluelagos
So the Police Fed rep was on the radio earlier and apparently the failure to adequately police the disorder outside the stadium was the fault of Wembley, for not asking the police for help earlier.
I genuinely haven't made that up.
The finger pointing will last until the critical point where people have sort of forgotten about it and are distracted by a more recent shambles. Makes it much easier for the public to digest the conclusion that the police did everything they could/aren't to blame/marked their own homework etc etc.

Enough. I hate a pile on and am sure ChrisD is unaware of my expereinces. Am also sure he is protective of his wife's job, which is no bad thing in itself.

Cheers.
And I genuinely do hate a 'pile on'. Too often (not here thankfully) people pile on when there really is no need - often a simple uppie will do :-)
