One of the things in life I am grateful for is that I can remember John Arlotts commentary and oh there are days I wish he, Johnners and CMJ were back.
When he is being serious Tuffers is actually very good, just he isnt serious often enough. (although the exchange with him and Vaughan about where Long Leg stood be placed was funny)
Some of new presenters are good Daggers and Norcross for instance with the Cookie and Isa being excellent.
But I do miss Arlott
Arlott was wonderfully poetic. I remember my sister - who wasn't interested in cricket - listening to Arlott commentating on a Sunday League game years ago and asking me who was that person giving the amazing commentary, in his Hampshire burr. Yes, Tufnell is knowledgeable about cricket & if he stuck to that, he would be good. But he prefers to turn TMS into a version of They Think It's All Over or whatever.
