I don’t see any reason for not doing it. The longer he stays out of the game, there is less chance of him getting a managerial position so being the assistant here would be a good move for him. And from our perspective, we desperately need someone with coaching experience to sort the defence out and having somebody who knows the club can’t hurt either. Cook might well be waiting for Leam Richardson but at this rate, he’ll be lasting a lot longer in his role at Wigan and won’t be interested in coming here as a number 2. |  |
