Restart A Heart day 2021 14:40 - Oct 16 with 417 viewsBlueBadger

Appreciate that 20 minutes before kick off isn't an IDEAL time to post this, but it's Restart A Heart day today.

Currently in the UK, if you suffer an out of hospital cardiac arrest, fewer than 1 in 10 people will survive to return home.

All evidence suggests that good, prompt chest compressions and ealy shock from a defibrillator can and do make a difference to survival rates.

Kow where your community defibs are folks, support your local first responders, get involved and most importantly LEARN CPR.

Indeed. And simply surviving to return home is not always an ideal outcome either - prompt treatment in all conditions is likely to reduce the potential for long-term effects.

Thanks for sharing, Badger.
