It might just be me here being a bit soft, but does anyone else think the finger to the mouth 🤫 celebration is a bit annoying when you see players scoring? The same goes for the cupped hand to the ear.

I understand if that player has been getting dogs abuse from the opposing support, but I’ve seen a few recently where it just seems a bit odd, particularly when that is the first thought after scoring, rather than actual celebrate..

Probably just me though

Depends, what examples have you got? Yesterday I know Bonne did it but wasn't there to know if there's any context behind it.

You may be misinterpreting these gestures.

If you look carefully the finger is not, as you assume, in the centre of the lips, signifying a belligerent demand for silence; "Be quiet, fools!".

No sir. The finger is in fact one inch to the side, at the corner of the mouth, signifying a quizzical and pensive manner; "Forsooth, I have placed the ball into the goal at an angle from which I was not convinced I would succeed".

I like it, reminds me of Tyler Walker when he scored against us at Lincoln, think its great banter for the fans

Was there and couldn’t hear any abuse of Bonne from the opposite end but you would assume he did it for a reason and not just to antagonise
