Or to put the question another way, if Cook were to tell us tomorrow that one player from the squad had suffered a terrible injury and would be out for the season, who would you be most anxiously hoping it was not? I think our best player this season has definitely been Macauley Bonne, but I wouldn't pick him as the most important as I also rate Joe Pigott very highly and think he could replace Bonne and the team wouldn't drop in quality by much. Similarly, Burns, Celina and Chaplin aren't a huge amount better than Aluko, Fraser and Edwards, and Donacien isn't a huge amount better than Vincent-Young. For me, the player we would most miss would be Sam Morsy, as he is the most important part of the team and we improved massively when he joined. He would be my pick, and he also plays a role as club captain. Second would probably be George Edmundson, as I think we would struggle defensively without him. What do you think? |  |

Fair regarding Dozzell. I’m struggling to think of a worse passer that Toto. Open to the forum to input. While Toto’s passing is a common laugh in the stands, it is actually a cause for concern. He’s got three passes in his locker and a third of those squanders possession and sometimes in areas that aren’t good. |
I wouldn't argue with that in the current team, but "worst to ever play for the club"?!
Drissa immediately springs to mind, but we must have had some hump it wonders over the years. I mean hell, I was always a big fan of Chambers and his service to ITFC and loyalty, but was he a much better passer than Toto? A BIT better maybe? Always said even when we were in the mix that promotion seemed unlikely with Luke at right back. Not to say he didn't do a decent enough job there covering.
Now, Dougie wasn't a worse passer than Toto of course BUT he did kick the ball into his own face. Twice. |  |

100% agree that Morsy is our most important player. About 15 minutes into his debut for us I commented on here that he was brilliant and just what we had been missing. I've been ponderiing who he most resembles, and I keep coming back to comparisons with Roy Keane. I guess Sir Alex knew a thing or two about building a successful team. |
Keane is a great comparison, even if it does of course flatter our Sam slightly.
That debut was hands down the best I've seen in years. Notwithstanding Donny's abjectness, it was a sublime performance. I felt high watching it. Natural high ahem. | |
