There is a woman at work, 43 years of age, who is adamant that Steps are the greatest band of all-time. Not kidding. She also thinks that Barbie Girl by Aqua is the greatest song of all-time. I pointed out to her that that was just her opinion and preference, but no, she thinks everyone else is wrong. Each to their own I guess. She is head of accounts.
You may want to let your Head of Accounts know that I occasionally run a stall for the local defibrillator fund selling second hand books and CDs (although less of these nowadays and I have more or less given up on trying to shift the DVDs we get given) and was given the Steps and Aqua CDs as part of someone's big clear out - so they didn't see Barbie Girl as a keeper. Can I shift those CDs, can I feck? Seventies disco, obscure metal, country music I have sold in recent weeks but, despite putting Steps and Aqua on top of the pile, it appears no one in interested in the greatest band of all time or the greatest song of all time...

I would say THE best is hard to define "of all time".
As an oldie, I'd put AC/DC in my top 5 "of all time", alongside Deep Purple Metallica Uriah Heep (when David Byron and John Lawton were vocalists) Black Sabbath
