Another Premier League game stopped for a medical emergency. 19:57 - Dec 1 with 740 viewsTheBoyBlue

Is this a new rule? Obviously it is easier for medical staff to deal with an incident without the distraction of the match and hopefully the person is alright. However, people have obviously had medical incidents in the stands before and I don't remember matches being stopped previously.

In the past the match used to carry on while a fan was attended to behind screens. Seems now that the match gets stopped. Not sure when it changed.
