I'd rip the whole thing up and start again 21:05 - Dec 7 with 3154 views | hype313 | Absolute garbage. And if I hear another "I think Fraser is underrated" comment, I'll break the Internet.

Did he? Where is the confirmation of that? Has Ashton/O’Leary/Cook said that? I thought Cook gave him a list and Ashton got them in.

I'd rip the whole thing up and start again on 21:19 - Dec 7 by hype313 | He's been absolutely turgid, offers nothing, too slow, too lightweight, can't pick a pass, huge underwhelming signing. |
Only operates in 2nd gear it seems…
I'd rip the whole thing up and start again on 22:47 - Dec 7 with 217 views | pointofblue | Fraser was brilliant for MK Dons last season - a disaster here. Morsy was a Championship player this year - is rapidly going downhill here. Pigott was top scorer in the division in 20/21 - can now barely get a game now and looks a shell when he does. Evans was more than competent at Wigan - less than that now. As a collective the squad seems to be saving their worst performances of their careers for us. How lucky can we get?

That’s not generally the way Ashton works. Of course a manager can submit his own players, but generally they all go into a filtering process (data, video - not much if any physical scouting) and out come some players to take forward into conversations with agents, clubs etc, to see if they are viable. It’s totally reasonable for Cook to suggest Morsy, and him make it all the way through the “sausage machine” that is “talent ID” to then start negotiations. Morsy should pi$$ League One. Where the problems can arise is where a players comes out of the end of the sausage machine because it’s weighted in favour of certain agents. City ended up with quite a few Wasserman / Key Sports Mgmt players. Whether you are running a similar process I don’t know, but several signings were linked to us during Ashton’s time inc Morsy, Walton, Evans, Harper, Edmundson, Burgess (a few years ago) and Edwards. Ashton himself admitted some deals were done because he had good relations with certain agents. If there’s a silver lining in tonight’s result it’s that it might force quick action. You can’t afford a 6 week selection process like we had.
