Twice it has happened with Hurst and Cook, and twice we've taken a stable if unspectacular team and ended up a mess with a load of players no better, or worse, than we had before. Ashton, and Evans before him, are obviously culpable too. Obviously we've signed some decent players last summer, but bloody hell we've signed some dross too, and such wholesale change has left us an incoherent mess. And that was the case under Cook too, even it never got as bad as last night. |  |
