Ipswich’s greatest ever performances 07:24 - Mar 14 with 3065 viewsITFC_nostalgia

Recently we featured the win against Sr Etienne, often considered our greatest ever performance.

Today we feature the 3-1 win at Spurs in 1962, that Ted Phillips regarded as our best performance ever (and who am I to argue?).

Any other nominations? 6-0 at home to Man U in 1980?

Yes, I vaguely remember that Arsenal game.

Literally seven years to the day of this game we went back to Highbury & lost 4-1.

Mariner & Talbot were once again on the scoresheet but this time for the Arsenal. Broke my heart that game.

Lot of people in here have forgotten about the Blackburn home game in 1991, for shame.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

Everyone remembers the St Etienne win obviously, and why not?, but that whole UEFA Cup run was sensational. Widzew Lodz may not be a big name but I believe they had many players from the Poland team that made the World Cup semi finals in 1982 and they had already put out Man Utd and Juventus, we did them 5-0.
