What’s the consensus on this? Should he be given more time at the club or is it time to move on? There’s a few on here who are fans of him as am I. Thoughts?

I think at this point we may as well cash in. A season on loan playing regularly would clearly benefit him but let's assume we go up and then he returns to us, is he really going to be good enough for the championship and realistically is he going to push out one of midfield(and that's not even accounting for the undoubted new acquisitions we would make post promotion)

If the plan is to "cash in", we should send him on loan surely? He'll be worth more off the back of a good loan season.

If we let El Mizouni leave how are we people envisaging our midfield unit next season? We bring in one first XI centre midfielder, so it's New Signing, Morsy, Evans, Humphreys? More than that?

What if he has a terrible season?

Pretty sure we'll sign Bakinson, and then can still see at least one more midfielder after that.

He's worth more or less nothing as it stands, so I can't see that sending him to Cambridge or Tranmere for a year has any chance of costing us.

So the plan is to sign Bakinson as 4th choice and then a 1st-choice midfielder on top of that? Can't see Bakinson going for that at all (and if we were doing it, it'd be done by now).

Let him go. Really nice goal against Oldham in the FA Cup but apart from that nothing to remember.

Dobra should follow him and leave the club too.

Agreed, but Dobra struggled to get game time for a poor 4th tier Colchester team. He is contracted to Town until the end of next season so we might struggle to place him as he doesn't appear to have kicked on after showing some early promise.

Cash in? What do you reckon we’d get for him?

A 21 year old who has played less than 40 lower league games. Not sure he's currently worth much at all, although he may make a player. We have him under contract for another 2 years plus a 1 year option. This was agreed under Cook so we don't know how McKenna rates him. I doubt he's going to get much game time next season so a loan seems the best option for player & club.
