What's the current situation with the Czech Republic ? I know they had planned to be known as Czechia for a few years now but from what I see it hasn't really caught on yet ?
Saying that maybe it has in Europe but it seems to have bounced out of view over here in the New World ...weak pun intended btw |
It's still the official name and sometimes you see it used in international contexts, but it still seems not to have caught on. I may be there in Sept, so see what it's like in country. |  |

I just don't find "Czechia" trips off the tongue like "Czech Republic", but then that is the anglicised version and I'm not a native slavic speaker. | |

Basically, anything that could walk, crawl, fly or swim was on the menu.
My favourite is Christmas Pie, made of a pigeon, placed inside a partridge, inside a chicken, inside a goose, inside a turkey, inside a pastry case called a coffin, served with hare and other game birds on the side.
