Replacing the old guard with new young players . Getting a decent fee too for players 30 yrs plus.

This was very much a cornerstone of Fergie's success at Man United. I think this might give them the long-term edge over Man City too - who have still yet to buy the Champions League.

People need to stop harping on about city.

The vast majority of long term successful clubs are the ones who are the best funded.

Liverpool broke the world transfer record for a GK and a Defender, and are about to suspend City this summer.

Man Utd spend (and always have) huge sums, hasnt done much for them in the past decade.

Ipswich are the best funded club in league 1. We haven't spend a single day in the playoffs over the past 12 months.

Don't care, hate city and have ever since Nicky Weaver dared to challenge Richard Wright for England's #1.

Down with the city! Cheating beggars.

Exactly. King Richard would never through his hat in with the common citizen.

I don’t particularly like Citeh but some of the comments after they won the league were just plain daft. I even saw comments likening Liverpool to plucky underdogs who hardly spent a penny and that Citeh simply cheated their title by outspending everyone.

Citeh have spent big, but in recent years (Grealish aside) have been outspent by Liverpool and United so their actual outlay isn’t that huge

Clearly you're not taking into account the deep impact that Nicky Weaver had back in the olden days.
