Just arrived home from Edwardstone's BBQ 17:11 - Jul 3 with 1296 views | Pendejo | Thank you sit for your hosting, 'tis always a pleasure to see you and the others (Guthrum, MJAllday, Hoppy, KJ, Yasmin, Roger and Bev) always great company and many laughs. Coastal Blue, may well post his own message, but it was amazing that in the Cotswolds they discovered they had a mutual Essex acquaintance. Great to see Newcy and Seb, if only by video call - thanks for the kegs. Look forward to seeing you at games this season, and am counting down to next summer's BBQ, I have let the wife know you miss her.

Just arrived home from Edwardstone's BBQ on 22:40 - Jul 3 with 813 views | hoppy | We're settled into our stop-off on the way back now. Not looking forward to the journey back tomorrow, given the fuel protest blockages we'll probably encounter - we've got either M4, M25 and A12 or M40, A420, A421 and A14 to get home. Always a great weekend, and would recommend to anyone that has said in the past or even this time around "I must try and make it one year" - you'd be assured of a warm welcome and an enjoyable time - as Coastalblue found this weekend (including a nice toasting of his trainer soles in the firepit). You held his feet to the fire?! That's why he's given a good review. Not sure that's the way to sell it Hops.

Thank you. Still unsure best way to go, with what’s going on. We’re in Swindon, so thinking the Oxford route may be better than M4/M25 which could well be fairly jammed up! Funnily enough, both routes are exactly 173 miles!

Can't help you I'm afraid. I'm Googling the same as you probably. The obvious answer for next years' is for EdwardStone to move back to EdwardStone.

I'd probably go A420, A34, M40, A43, A421, A1, A428, A14. But that may not be the quickest (mainly the first section). [Post edited 4 Jul 2022 1:07]
