The problem is that there's a massive difference between a TV commentary and a radio commentary. What we got from the new team was a TV commentary, which was adequate if you were able to watch the game. It's absolutely not fit for purpose if you're just listening to the game. Constant dead air, no description of who has the ball where, the flow and patterns of the game etc. There are occasions I can't watch the game because I'm out so I would stream the audio while in the car. That's been fine with Brenner. If I'd been just listening to the game today, I'd have come away with zero real idea how we looked. They need to sort it out. |
