The humble ant...

"Scientists on the island of Fiji have discovered a type of ant that plants, fertilises and guards its own coffee crop."

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

Ants are magnificent. Wonderful work ethic.
Liz Truss has enormous respect for them saying “What we need is more ants working in our industries, they put our feckless workforce to shame, when I become prime minister, I’ll waiver the visa application for ants to get our economy competitive again”.

The representative for ants in the UK, Adam Ant was unavailable for comment as he is currently on tour in Antarctica.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

I eagerly await tomorrows insect instalment.

In other news, it's finally raining in IP23.
Proper precipitation.
Grass cutting to resume next week?

I think ants are pretty stupid actually. They come out into my house and the flying ones fly into the windows in an attempt to get outside so why not just nest outside in the first place?

Fantastic.

I saw that at the cinema as a kid.

I thought it was amazing at the time, and of course entirely possible.

You say 'humble ant' but he looks like a cocky little blighter to me, what with those perky antenna, beaky mandibles and that 'come and give it a go' look in his eye.

Not so cocky as these two show offs though

Ants do like lording it over the other insects, with their feats of incredible strength and complex social structures.

Never trust an ant. Except Adam.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.
