I know it’s not a particularly fashionable thing to do, but I really am grateful to Paul Cook, for assembling the majority of this squad.
I know MA had his input too, but I don’t think we have half this squad if it wasn’t for PC being the draw he was to play for.

Terrible managing them in the games, granted, but fair play.

We’ll be good again... one day

It's more the players he got in, rather than the value for money. As others have said, Walton, Morsy and Chaplin wouldn't have dropped down if they hadn't been able to work with Cook again, so he helped to boost the standard of recruitment.

Of course that makes his failure to assemble a winning team even worse, but long-term it's been of benefit to the club.


His biggest failure was not be able to get his mate Leam Richardson to join , as without him he is pretty clueless ……. IMHO
