Squad, now 25, is getting on the large side, but their are injuries and the depth and quality especially up front is greatly improved:

Sort of see what you mean but they're still part of the squad even if they're on loan and I think the intention is to assess the business done during the window, and they have departed. |
But the players put on loan haven’t ‘departed’, unless you also feel that McGavin had already ‘departed’ this time last year. As others have pointed out, there’s certainly been a huge ‘clearing of the decks’ but it’s disingenuous to say that a lot more have gone out than come in in the last twelve months. There were a bunch out on loan last year, and a similar sized bunch out on loan this year. |  | | |
